The waves

Las Olas Blvd is a lovely area to explore on any Sunday but today was even more special. The first week of every month brings a few jazz groups to the Riverwalk and the scene is alive with people (and dogs) of all ages picnicking, dancing, eating, drinking, and lazing in the sun or shadow. My walk there today was purposeful to check out the vibe and see what I need to bring along next time. Serendipity shone as I realized it was also the final day of the 25th annual Las Olas Art Festival. My parking metered spot was going to time out before I had the chance to see it all but glimpses proved interesting and desirable. I left with a festival t-shirt and a craving for more. I found a great place for a bloody mary but decided it would be too tempting to also try their 6 inch high burger which looked delicious on everyone else’s plate! Like I said before…next time.
