It’s hard to describe the luxurious feeling of a mani/pedi. Entering with rough nails and tired skin, you leave with massaged hands, legs, and feet and polish that lasts for days, maybe even weeks. Frequently, you stick your hand out to admire as if you had just received a large diamond engagement ring. And your toes peek out of sandals looking elegant, shiny, and shapely. I tried a new day spa for my most recent splurge and I enjoyed all the usual treatments. Additionally, the pedicure station offered a sophisticated chair massage which was heavenly. And large screen tv’s made the lack of conversation with my Asian speaking sylist acceptable instead of uncomfortable. I’m a digital showcase for “purple peonies”, a creamy light lilac which seems perfect for the season. And I believe another mani/pedi bliss and polish change will occur long before the next season change.
