Paris is bidding on hosting the 2024 Olympics, along with Los Angeles, Rome, and Budapest. The last Olympic Games held in Paris were in 1914. The logo was unveiled recently and I like it very much. It’s modern and colorful, while also tipping its hat to the past and the iconic Eiffel Tower. The budget for the games is 6 billion € and despite all forms of funding, I’m not certain any city can successfully tackle such an enormous pricetag. And while Paris has a modern infrastructure, what changes and construction would be needed to take care of millions of people and athletes to the level that Paris (and France) would expect of themselves?
