Canasta et al

First of all, I thought et al might be French but it’s Latin disguised as French. Second of all, I’m learning and playing the German version of canasta…easy to begin and interesting to develop strategies as I improve. Third of all, I’m writing a book and my energy and enthusiasm for this project is unlimited at this moment. Fourth of all, my latest and greatest cold soup was mostly mango…mmmmm. Fifth of all, I’m thinking about making terrariums to give as Christmas gifts to my French friends…all because I have a prettily shaped glass pickle jar that I can’t bear to recycle. (That means I need to eat a LOT of pickles.) Sixth of all, broiled bacon wrapped pickles make delicious appetizers. Sev-en-d et al.

How can canasta segue into pickle jars? And what’s the difference between German canasta and American?
