It’s All Good

My Sunday morning bike ride was my first (successful) attempt at the two bridges circle…Pont Chaban Delmas and Pont de Pierre…about 10 km. A spectacular ride over and along the Garonne River. What a way to begin!

Received my French tax bill and I FINALLY filled out the forms correctly because the amount is 0€, as it should be because I pay all taxes to the USA.

My craving for amerexican enchiladas was mollified a bit by using an Old El Paso burrito kit with a jar of fajita sauce and shredded mimolette cheese. The sauce was a more smoky bbq flavor and the cheese was not as meltable as shredded cheddar but I covered those flaws with crème fraiche (sour cream)! Next time-homemade!

Submitting my application for a 10 year residency card soon because on August 26, I will have lived here 5 years! Time flies! Looks like I will not be able to apply for French citizenship (voting rights, passport, certain benefits) because I don’t earn French income and I don’t own French property. Nothing’s perfect but it’s all good.

With the current political climate in the US, I may just join you in your 10,000 applications fo and hoops to jump thru.
